Description
A festival at Uneme Shrine dedicated to an Emperor's mistress (uneme) who committed suicide by throwing herself into Sarusawa pond. Ceremonial Kangen boat carrying a Hanaogi (large fan made up of flowers) cruise the pond before the Hanaogi is set afloat to calm the deceased spirit.
