Description
This is the traditional ritual held on Tsukumai Street in the evening of the last day of the Gion Festival at Yasaka Shrine in Ryugasaki City. A man known as "mai-otoko" performs amazing acrobatic tricks, including tight-rope walking and hand-stands, on top of a 14m high pillar.
