Description
This festival boasts the largest straw sandal in Japan, 12m long, 1.4m wide and weighing 2 tons, it takes around 100 people to carry around town and up Mt. Shinobusan. Loads of people wake up early to visit the shrine and stalls, as is starts even before dawn (akatsuki).
