Description
This festival is held in honor of the self-sacrificing individual known as Sogoro Sakura who directly appealed to the Shogun regarding poor harvest and heavy taxes roughly 350 years ago and was sentenced to death. On both days of this festival a large fair with over 300 stalls is held, as well as a pulling of traditional float.
