Description
This soul-stirring festival uses fire in brilliant ways. There is a throwing of torches, a release of prayer lanterns down the Fujikawa river, the burning of a giant torch, and the Hyaku Hachi Tai ritual where 108 torches lining the river are lit, painting the night red.
