Description
This is the earliest celebrated summer festival of Niigata City, held annually in June at the same time as the Maki Shrine Grand Festival. It boasts a mikoshi procession, a float parade, a brilliant fireworks display and is topped off with a powerful Yakata Kanto (raft-like floats with a tower of lanterns on top).
