Description
An ancient theatrical show depicting hell, held at Kosaiji temple. Scenes such as Sai no Kawara, Kamaire and Mushi Fu-ji are performed. It teaches ideas of retribution, rewarding good conduct and punishing bad conduct. The event is registered by the country as a significant intangible folk cultural asset.
