Description
The festival has its origins in Buddhist monk Taicho's climbing of Mt. Haku (he is said to be the first person to reach its summit). Local folk dance of "Kanko Odori" is performed, and the pulling of "Enmeisui Yamadai" takes place, and Spring water is given out.
