Description

The most celebrated of all annual festivals at the Kashima Shrine. Over ten large dai-chochin floats made up of bamboo frames carrying hundrends of chochin lanterns illuminate the path where the shrine deity passes through. The astonishing "Chochin-machi" is a must see sacred ritual burning of the dai-chochin.
