Description
The Chimaki Matsuri is an annually held ritual where rice cakes made by the shrine parishioners are first offered to the deity, and then handed out to the festival goers after prayers are made. The Chimaki rice cakes are also decorated in homes and doorways as a way of warding off bad spirits.
